SUSTAINABLE QUALITY

Top coaches, physical education teachers, and dozens of successful Slovak representatives in various sports, including medallists from the Olympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships – many of them graduates of our faculty over its 60 years of existence. Fitness coach is currently the most popular sports specialisation in our study programmes of coaching and physical education teaching.

EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Comenius University houses nearly all sports facilities in its Lafranconi campus in Bratislava, including a golf centre, a sports hall, a field and track stadium, a football field, a swimming pool, tennis courts and beach sports courts, a gymnastics and wrestling gym, and several fitness centres. The hiking and skiing courses are held in the Štiavnické vrchy Mountains, in the Tatra mountains, and we have our own boating club on the river Danube. Learn to surf in the Adriatic Sea.

INNOVATIONS IN SPORTS

Our faculty includes a specialized research centre, the Professor Hamar Diagnostic Center, which focuses on the development of new diagnostic and training methods and their applications in sports, rehabilitation, and clinical medicine. The newly built Center for Active Aging is another specialised facility, focussing on the physical activity of the elderly.

SPORT IS OUR DAILY LIFE

There are university league competitions in which you can participate. The Lafranconi CU FSPORT University Sports Club offers you an opportunity to do sports and be active in your spare time.
